The Deck

We (Bob) began building the deck in April 2005. The dimensions are 12' x 22'. This seemed like a much easier project than the shed, probably because I did less work. Bob did most of the planning and designing, though I gave input such as wanting built-in benches, flowerboxes and a nice angled staircase. Since I wasn't doing most of the work, these didn't happen... I am working on a flowerbox though.

All we have left to do now is the one step!

Here is the flowerbox that we built. I actually came up with the design and screwed the wood together. Bob sawed the boards because he thought I would hurt myself with the big circular saw. The flowerbox has legs because Bob was mean and wouldn't let me attach it to the house. Go figure...

Bob came up with this idea for a planter. I'm excited that it is a two-tiered planter. I'm going to get some sort of a cascading plant for the tiny top tier and we'll see how it looks. We are trying to make use of all the waste boards from the deck. Can you tell?
