Tinted Corner Lights
I did not like the look of the red and yellow corner lights so I purchased a can of VHT Nite Shades to tint them. I had a can of cheap clear coat, so I decided to use it instead of purchasing a can of good quality paint. I used the information in this post as a guide. After spraying on the clear coat, there was a moderate amount of orange peel on the lights and they were rough to the touch and dull. I wetsanded them with 2000 grit until all signs of the orange peel were gone, and then used polishing compound and an orbital buffer. This made them look very good. It removed all of the orange peel and they are smooth to the touch and very shiny.

Third Brake Light
I also decided that I wanted to tint my third brake light to match the corner lights. I have read some posts on LS1Tech where people have problems with the Nite Shades cracking and peeling specifically with the third brake light, presumably due to a chemical reaction between the spray and the plastic. I decided to avoid this by first applying clear coat to the plastic and letting it dry. After doing that, I did not have any problems with cracking or peeling.
