3KGT Concepts Aluminum Defroster Vents

Here are some pics of the installation of the 3KGT Concepts aluminum defroster vents. For this installation, I used Stealth316 Defroster Garnish Replacement. That set of instructions refers to two other very helpful sets of instructions: the first is the Stealth316 Floor Console Removal, and the second is the Stealth316 Dash Removal. The instructions were very detailed and accurate, and so they were very beneficial. The only other things that I had to remove were my aftermarket parts (alarm wires, turbo timer, afc, pocketlogger wires, etc).
Once it was all disassembled and out of the car, I did a test fit on the defroster vents. I was disappointed to find that the bolt holes on the vents did not line up exactly with my dash. (see pics below) Also, the photosensor that attaches to the passenger defroster vent fit somewhat loosely and had play in the vertical direction. However, I was able to correct these minor issues. I was able to use a dremel, and enlarge the mounting holes. Once this was done, the defroster vents fit well. As for the photosensor, I used a rubber band, and wrapped it around the back side of the sensor near the clips, and now it fits snugly. I am not sure if mine was a one of a kind fluke, and I'm not making accusations, but just sharing my experience.
Also, I used this opportunity to install a Lo-Tek A-pillar triple pod.
