Solenoid Removal and Vacuum Line Minimization

Here are some before and after pics of the solenoid removals, and vacuum line minimization. I removed the boost control, EGR, fuel pressure, and evap canister solenoids. The boost control solenoid and EGR solenoid have been previously disconnected, however they were left in the car. I removed the vacuum lines to/from the evap canister solenoid and the fuel pressure solenoid. So far, i have not noticed any ill effects from removing the fuel pressure solenoid.

Thermal Flex Red Silicone Vacuum Hose

Later, I also replaced the remaining stock vacuum lines with Thermal Flex red silicone vacuum hose. I rerouted all of the new hoses to minimze the length of the hoses, and I also setup my manual boost controller such that the hoses to each turbo were equal length and as short as possible.

Update: Fuel Pressure Regulator Solenoid Reinstallation

Even though I seemed to have no ill effects from removing the fuel pressure regulator solenoid initially, I had been having idle surge/fluctuation on hot restart after I completed my
rebuild. This is a common symptom reported by others that have removed their fuel pressure regulator solenoid, so I decided to reinstall it. I taped up all of the wires to the other unused solenoids, and left only the connector to the fuel pressure regulator solenoid exposed. After doing this, the idle surge/fluctation seemed to go away.
